High demand for home renovation and repair services to continue
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (November 30, 2021) – The Patch Boys, America’s first, largest and most trusted drywall repair franchise company, has seen growing demand for drywall repair and installation services as a result of the national housing boom as well as increased investment in home improvement projects.
“Thanks to increased time spent at home, homeowners and renters are interested in making their spaces more modern, especially those who live in older homes or who didn’t have the time or financial resources to update spaces and repair damages in the past,” explained Ted Speers, President of The Patch Boys. “In addition, the pandemic-driven focus on safety and wellbeing has people wanting their homes to be cleaner and healthier. These factors will continue to dominate the home improvement industry for many years to come.”
Based on the macro trends of modernization and cleanliness over the past 18+ months, The Patch Boys have the following predictions for what 2022 will bring:
• Smooth ceilings: Homeowners will want to remove their popcorn or textured ceilings, because they collect dust and cobwebs, are difficult to clean, or feel out-of-date.
• Open spaces: Both homeowners and renters will desire spaces that are larger and have an open floorplan.
• Muted paint colors: A trend from this year that will continue into next is the desire for lighter paint colors in the gray and beige families. The Patch Boys prepare for painting by smoothing and priming walls and ceilings.
The Patch Boys’ services, which are typically done in the final stages of renovations and refreshes, include ceiling and plaster repair, popcorn ceiling removal and texture matching.
